One way to tell that new iOS devices are coming is to look at what retailers are charging for existing models. Case in point: a new iPad Pro price drop at Best Buy.
The U.S. retailer has discontinued the price of the 32GB 9.7-inch iPad Pro by $125 making the $599 tablet available for $474.99. Best Buy is not currently offering discounts on other iPad Pro models, including the 12.9-inch version.
This limited sale makes sense given that future iPad Pro models are likely to launch without a 32GB version. Instead, we’re likely to see 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB variations. (Apple offers the newly released budget iPad with 32GB or 128GB.)
Where Things Stand
Apple’s increasingly likely to announce a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro and second-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 5. The former could launch largely bezel-free within the same footprint as the 9.7-inch iPad Pro.
