Recipe Manager Pestle Updated With Smart Folder, PDF Import and More
Pestle can help take your cooking game to a new level. One of our best new apps of 2022 has just gotten its first major update of the year, and it makes the great app event better.
The headlining new feature is the ability to create smart folders. To help organize a large amount of recipes, smart folders help make that task much easier,
You can choose criteria where folders automatically fill themselves. For example, you can create folder of deserts that aren’t alcoholic.
There is now also two additional way to import recipes. First, you can import PDFs into the app. The app will parse the recipes for important information like ingredients, quantities, timer instructions, and more.
It’s also possible to import photos of recipes you’ve taken like from a cookbook or meal card.
Searching in the app is now also improved. You can see more detail on why a result is appearing in the search like “Main Course” or “Matches Ingredient.”
Finally, recipes will also show previews when searching in Spotlight.
No matter your skill level, Pestle can help make cooking easier. After finding the perfect recipe, the app provides a guided cooking experience that breaks down everything in a step-by-step process. The app can even be controlled hands-free when preparing something messy.
You can also create a meal plan for the next 14 days where you can assign a recipe for each day. The app will also take ingredients for recipes and add it to a shipping list.
For larger households, you can share recipes and create meal plans together.
Designed for the iPhone and all iPad models, Pestle is a free download on the App Store now.
Along with the recipe scanner feature, the Pestle Pro subscription includes unlimited recipes, cross-device sync, a meal plan option for the next two weeks, and much more.
That’s $19.99 per year or $1.99 per month. You can also unlock a lifetime subscription for $39.99.
