Mike was born in Poland but moved to California at age 9. Mike has graduated from Chico State with a degree in journalism in spring '10 and lives in Cupertino (Apple headquarters) currently. He hopes to continue writing about games and technology and loves his iPad. He got it as a graduation gift along with an iPhone 4 but the iPad is Mike's real device of choice. Check out turn-based strategy game called Great Little War Game. The game has recently been updated to version 1.5. Along with the update a new campaign was added, in addition to five different skirmish maps.
A new puzzle game called, Fruity Jelly is hitting the App Store on September 8. Gameplay is said to be based on collecting fruit and controlling a blue jelly.
If you enjoy physics games, puzzlers, or tower defense titles check out Cubes vs. Spheres. The universal app just received a minor update and offers innovative gameplay, a great art style with colorful visuals, and an intensive combo system. Your goal is to stop incoming waves of cubes from reaching your base by flinging spheres at them.
Check out action puzzler Spacelings. The game has just been updated to version 1.2. Spacelings' gameplay revolves around you rescuing creatures in outer space by using tractor beams.
Check out EA's Madden NFL 12 for iPhone and iPad. The game has recently hit the App Store and offers all 32 NFL teams to choose from with over 2,500 real NFL players. Even the stadiums are modeled after their real life counterparts.
Gameloft is hard at work with the movie tie-in game, The Adventures of Tintin. The game has been described as stealth-based -- with players moving from cover to cover.
Check out the new and unique puzzle game, called Sprinkle. It has been released as a universal app and its gameplay consists of putting out fires with a water cannon.

Splashtop Remote Desktop has been updated to version 1.5.5.1. The app was originally an iPad exclusive, but a version for the iPhone is also now available. The latest update mainly deals with Internet discovery enhancements and an updated user interface.

More info has been leaked about EA's upcoming iOS Battlefield title. The game will be called "Battlefield 3: Aftershock" and will offer gameplay similar to that of "Call of Duty: Zombies." Players will be facing waves of enemy attacks in order to survive as long as possible. Multiplayer will also be available.
Namco has recently released another reboot of a classic. This time the game is a modern take on a top-down racer set in a maze. The iPhone version is called Rally-X Rumble and is currently available on the App Store.
